Studying abroad? Here are some tips to not look like a tourist, yet still being true to your personal style!
1. Don’t wear athletic wear unless you plan to workout.
Leave the Nike shorts at home and bring casual tennis shoes for comfy shoes for your 10 mile walk around Paris.
2. Bring well fitted clothes.
Leave the baggy t-shirts at home, in Europe clothes tend to be tailored to better fit your body. So bring well fitting clothes that you can rock!
3. They love scarves.
If you are a scarf lover like I am then rejoice! Europeans love scarves in all seasons, so pack them!
4. Pack those khakis!
In Europe, they are all about the neutral earth tones rather than neons and bright colors. If they are wearing color, it is one pastel-like color. While Europeans are coming around to adding more color into their wardrobe, a neutral wardrobe while traveling will make it more versatile while traveling.
5. Europeans are all about the shoes.
If there is one thing that Europeans will splurge on, it’s shoes. They are obsessed with leather shoes in every style. So bring your loafers, boots, and leather sandals!
6. Legs are their strong suit.
Bring tights and pantyhose to show off those wonderful legs! Europeans love to show off their long legs in every season and also love to wear dark jeans for more casual days.
7. Contrasting fits.
Pack that chunky sweater to wear with tight fitting jeans and leather booties to stay comfy and warm!
